NATIONAL PERSONAL TRAINING ACADEMY (NPTA™)

APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

Effective Date: January 01, 2026

This Apprenticeship Program Cancellation & Refund Policy (the "Policy") applies exclusively to students enrolled in any NPTA™ Apprenticeship Program, including but not limited to the Advanced Practitioner (AP) Program, Condensed AP Program, and any future apprenticeship, practicum, mentorship, shadowing, co-training, or experiential learning programs offered by National Personal Training Academy ("NPTA™").

This Policy forms part of the Apprenticeship Program Agreement and supersedes any general refund, cancellation, financing, or payment provisions applicable to other NPTA™ educational products or services.

1. PURPOSE

The Apprenticeship Program is a practical, experiential learning program that requires scheduling, mentor allocation, facility access, client coordination, administrative planning, and resource commitment by NPTA™.

As a result, Apprenticeship Program enrollments are subject to the cancellation and refund provisions set out in this Policy.

2. CANCELLATION REQUESTS

Students wishing to cancel their Apprenticeship Program enrollment must submit a written cancellation request to:

📧 info@npta.ca

Cancellation requests are not effective until received and acknowledged in writing by NPTA™.

Verbal requests, text messages, social media messages, or requests made through third parties will not constitute valid notice of cancellation.

3. FIVE (5) DAY CANCELLATION & REFUND WINDOW

A Student may request cancellation and a refund within five (5) calendar days of enrollment, provided that all of the following conditions are satisfied:

  • No Apprenticeship Program hours have been logged;
  • No shadowing sessions have been attended;
  • No co-training sessions have been attended;
  • No mentorship sessions have been attended;
  • No practical training sessions have been attended;
  • No onboarding activities have been completed;
  • No program materials, manuals, resources, forms, or educational content have been substantially accessed or used.

All cancellation requests are subject to review and approval by NPTA™.

4. ADMINISTRATIVE & CANCELLATION FEE

Any approved refund issued under Section 3 shall be subject to a 5% administrative and cancellation fee.

This fee covers costs associated with:

  • Enrollment processing;
  • Student onboarding;
  • Administrative review;
  • Scheduling and mentor allocation;
  • Payment processing;
  • Program preparation and resource management.

The administrative fee is non-refundable.

5. COMMENCEMENT OF THE APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM

For the purposes of this Policy, the Apprenticeship Program shall be considered commenced immediately upon the occurrence of any of the following:

  • Completion of any logged Apprenticeship Program hours;
  • Attendance at any shadowing session;
  • Attendance at any co-training session;
  • Attendance at any mentorship session;
  • Attendance at any practical training session;
  • Participation in onboarding activities;
  • Participation in orientation activities;
  • Access to Apprenticeship Program resources beyond basic enrollment administration;
  • Engagement in any practical component of the Apprenticeship Program.

6. NO REFUNDS AFTER PROGRAM COMMENCEMENT

Once the Apprenticeship Program has commenced as defined in Section 5:

All fees paid become immediately non-refundable.

No refunds shall be issued for:

  • Partial participation;
  • Failure to complete required hours;
  • Scheduling conflicts;
  • Relocation;
  • Employment changes;
  • Illness or injury;
  • Personal circumstances;
  • Dissatisfaction with program content;
  • Voluntary withdrawal;
  • Failure to meet program requirements;
  • Failure to complete the program within prescribed timelines.

7. WITHDRAWAL AFTER PROGRAM COMMENCEMENT

Students may voluntarily withdraw from the Apprenticeship Program at any time by providing written notice to NPTA™.

Withdrawal from the Apprenticeship Program:

  • Terminates future participation rights;
  • Does not create any entitlement to a refund;
  • Does not eliminate amounts already owing to NPTA™;
  • Does not automatically terminate financing obligations.

8. MONTHLY PAYMENT PLANS & CANCELLATION

Where a Student is enrolled under a recurring monthly payment arrangement:

  • A minimum of thirty (30) days written notice is required to cancel future billing;
  • Notice must be submitted to info@npta.ca;
  • Cancellation becomes effective at the end of the applicable notice period;
  • Any amounts owing before the effective cancellation date remain payable.

NPTA™ reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee equal to one (1) monthly payment where permitted by applicable law and disclosed in the Student’s enrollment agreement.

9. FINANCING ARRANGEMENTS

This section applies to all Apprenticeship Program purchases made through:

  • Elective;
  • Learn Now, Pay Later programs;
  • Pay As You Learn programs;
  • Third-party financing providers;
  • Installment payment arrangements.

All financing purchases are final.

Except where otherwise required by applicable law:

  • No refunds are available for Apprenticeship Program enrollments purchased through financing arrangements.

Cancellation of participation in the Apprenticeship Program does not automatically cancel financing obligations.

Financing obligations remain governed by the applicable financing agreement and the financing provider's terms and conditions.

Students remain responsible for all obligations owed under any financing agreement.

10. NPTA™ RIGHT TO SUSPEND OR TERMINATE

NPTA™ reserves the right to suspend or terminate a Student’s participation immediately for:

  • Breach of the Apprenticeship Program Agreement;
  • Violation of NPTA™ policies;
  • Violation of the Code of Conduct;
  • Failure to maintain required certifications;
  • Failure to maintain required insurance coverage;
  • Unsafe conduct;
  • Harassment;
  • Abuse of staff, clients, mentors, or participants;
  • Unprofessional conduct;
  • Any conduct that NPTA™ reasonably determines may negatively affect clients, staff, facilities, operations, or the learning environment.

Termination by NPTA™ shall not create any entitlement to a refund.

11. JOB GUARANTEE EXCEPTION

Where an Apprenticeship Program includes an NPTA™ Job Guarantee, any refund eligibility shall be governed exclusively by the written Job Guarantee provisions contained within the applicable Apprenticeship Program Agreement.

Except for the specific Job Guarantee refund expressly stated therein:

  • No additional refund rights apply to the Apprenticeship Program.

12. NO GUARANTEE OF EMPLOYMENT

Enrollment in the Apprenticeship Program does not guarantee:

  • Employment with NPTA™;
  • Employment with Fit Integrated Wellness;
  • Employment with any third-party organization;
  • Income generation;
  • Business success;
  • Certification success.

Results are dependent on numerous factors outside the control of NPTA™.

13. GOVERNING LAW

This Policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.

Any dispute arising under this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia.

14. SEVERABILITY

If any provision of this Policy is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

15. ENTIRE POLICY

This Policy constitutes the entire cancellation and refund policy applicable to NPTA™ Apprenticeship Programs and supersedes all prior representations, statements, policies, or understandings relating to cancellation or refund rights for Apprenticeship Program enrollments.
